The main issue I have with the upgrade system though is that you can get completely boned by the RNG system if you don't get good cards early on into a run, you just won't have any choice in type of tower. They also don't tell you that you can add "cards" to permanently upgrade your towers through the upgrade option in the main menu, so make sure to check that out after every game. The tower defense aspect is really good, though there needs to be a tutorial as it took me ages to figure out that I could manually level up my towers. What I want is the ability to say, "Hey, I've been playing this for an hour and I would like a break without losing my progress." But this is what we have been denied. I don't care if it only lets me save one map and I have to play it upon reload or lose the data and restart. If the devs aren't going to give us the ability to speed up time, they should at least allow me to close the game and come back to the same map later. The speed control is an obvious omission as later stages give you time to go make a sandwich, but I only need so many sandwiches every day. Every good tower defense game I've played over the years has a couple things in common: a speed control and a save feature. It's fun, don't get me wrong, but it's also very flawed. Pretty sure at this point that the devs haven't added speed up feature so that you can't ask for a refund when you realize the game takes too much time.
